We just purchased a 2011 QX56 with the rear dual dvd system. The dvd units, remote control and headphones are all original. Our question is this: can you listen to the radio using the rear wireless headphones? We understand that you can play DVDs, etc. and can listen to them via the rear headphones and we have successfully done that. However, our kids like to use the wireless headphones to listen to the radio (XM, etc.) while they are in the back seat. We have not been able to figure out how to set up the system so that you can listen to the radio using the rear wireless headphones.
Some of the literature that came with the QX56 (quick reference guides, etc.) suggest that you can listen to the all of the car's audio systems including radio using the rear headphones. However, we have reviewed the manuals and have researched online and have not been able to find the answer.
We previously had a Honda Pilot with a factory rear DVD system. That system allowed you to listen to all available audio including radio using the rear wireless hearphones. You would think that the QX56 would allow folks in the rear seat to listen to the radio using the wireless headphones.
Is this possible? Is there a way to set it up to allow this feature?
Thanks for any assistance!
