I'm currently looking at a used QX56 with 183,686. Does anyone own an Infiniti with this high mileage and if so is it still running good? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I just purchased one with 190K miles. I would recommend you DEFINITELY get the vehicle looked over by a trained mechanic (an in-depth inspection).

After purchasing my own, I was hit with a $5,500 bill to change the timing chain because it was stretched and slapping the oil jets.

It is a 2013. According to the dealership (which I do not know if completely accurate), the campaign was never done on the vehicle and the VIN does not have any recalls against it.

I called Infiniti USA as well and the helpdesk stated they did not see any active recalls against it. I don't know if the recall ended but if you have more information, I'd greatly appreciate it!

sadly i do not have any more info on it. seeing as you've a 13 you may be in the clear anyway (meaning nissan/infiniti already made the upgrades on your model year). i had a 2012 fully loaded and it was under the recall. i was having ZERO issues and i think i was around 50K when the recall came out.

sorry to hear that you still had to have this issue. based on what you wrote there it seems like you were exactly having the issues the recall was set to fix !

Yeah I hear that. I wish I could see the actual vehicle recall VIN listing.

I feel like something shady is going down...

maybe you can befriend/ fall at the mercy of a service writer at infiniti and ask them if they have a VIN list they can cross match with. lofty wish but maybe worth a phone call. maybe they can find out why some VINs had it and others didnt...my car was a 2012 but it was made in late 2011 ( i actually was waiting for it to be built and shipped to me) so its possible you car was made in 2012 ? you can look on your door tag and see but it is quite interesting that your issue is just like the recall sets to correct.

wish you success on this bro and again sorry to hear that.

Will do and thanks for the heads up. I'll reach out to them and let you know if I get anything back.
