Periodically, wife and I take driving trips and like to enjoy a cup of fresh brewed Starbucks coffee while on the road. I learned last year the QX56 power inverter isn't strong enough to power our Kuerig mini K Cup coffee maker. Due to my lack of electrical knowledge, can someone help with advice on an inexpensive portable inverter without having to install extra wires. I was thinking the one which plugs into the cigarette lighter, but when I saw the Coffee Pots' reference to 1000 Watts, figured it wouldn't be strong enough. Any thoughts or should I just stop at the closest coffee shop? If I have to wire an inverter with inline fuse, what wattage should I use? I did see this thread, but not sure if I need to increase wattage or use one at 1,000: http://infinitiforum.net/infiniti-forum/showthread.php?t=12832&highlight=Power+Inverter
My Coffee pot on the bottom label states it is:
1000 Watts
120 VAC
60 Hz
8.3 AMPS
