Unless the sales rep was lying to me. He said the Q40 will no longer be available next year. WTF? I don't think he's telling the truth or knows what he is talking about.....

He's telling the truth. It's being replaced by the Q50 - which is already on dealer lots as the G37/Q40 successor. The Q40 is the same as the G37. The Q50 is the new generation...

Oh... I knew it was re-badged from the G37. I just didn't realize they were going to kill it after a year.

Well, technically - the Q40 has been the G37 since 2009. Consider the name change to Q50 the same way the name changed from G35 to G37. But, yeah - it only lasted one year. I'm not sure why they felt the need to sell the old model along-side the new model.

I think so. I imagine they probably want to get them off the lots - so you could probably get a good deal on one. I'm sure they prefer to be selling the newer Q50s...
