Playing DVD on the headrests

Bought our 2012 QX56 last night (fully loaded, with bench). While we were at the dealer, we had with us a slew of things to try out, including a DVD to watch on the headrest monitors.

We could play the DVD on the front nav screen, but need on the headrest screens. I was able to play a video through the aux in on the headrests, so they do work. What is the magic? We used the remote to try and switch the input, but it would bring up some on screen text, then go away, nothing really useful. We are going back to the dealer on Tuesday, and they are going to try and figure it out by then, but is there something we are missing, or was something not hooked up properly at the factory?
 
it should just 'work'. On my 2011, you put the DVD in and it should play on the rear displays. There is a source button on the remote for the displays - make sure it's not set to something else.
 
Same here...on our 2012, you just use the remote to fire up the rear headrest displays and all is well...
 
you can play different sources on each screen.. there is an aux (l) and (r) to denote which screen and also a source for that screen. just make sure you are on the right screen and have the right input selected. when in doubt, pullout the manual.

I think there is something not hooked up. I can get all the different inputs, but I cannot get the DVD to play on either of the headrests. I am going in to service on Tuesday ,so I am going to have them take a look.

BTW, I love this car! I love that it is very unique and that there are very few around. I get lots of looks when driving...I feel like I am "luxury" tank...
 
Why doesn't the moderator remove 'hermonater' for posting nothing but advertising..

Make sure to check the settings via the Infiniti controller - and make sure the rear display(s) are set to "on". I'm sure you have figured this out by now:rolleyes::D

Mine has the same problem using rear AUX. I can't get it play any outside input. My iPhone//iPad will not work neither will a laptop. Audio will play both hard wired and by Bluetooth, but no video. I am using an isimple component to hdmi adapter. 2012 qx56
