Parking "Sensors" on/off switch?

Is there a setting for the sensors or are they always on? We're coming from a minivan that had a hard button switch to turn them on and off.

They only seem to be working when we have the camera button pushed. If we don't have the camera on and pull into a parking spot they aren't going off - but if i stop the car and hit the camera button - they light up and beep.

no on or off switch. the armada had an on off switch.

so this is how the Japanese designed the Qx. no on /off switch for the sensors. they activate when in R or camera mode.
