Hey everyone,

New to these threads and really hoping someone can help me out.

I went to get an oil change and was told I need to replace my Oil Pan Gasket and my Oil Filter Adapter Gasket.

I know I can replace my Oil Pan gasket, and ordering the part for that is pretty straight forward.

When it comes to the oil filter adapter gasket, I get a little lost. Do I just need to purchase the O-rings? Or am I looking at the oil cooler adapter gasket?

The labor for each was $210 ($420 total for both gasket replacements), and the parts were around $8 and $15 respectively (I think it was $15).

That's way too expensive for a lower oil pan gasket and an adapter gasket.

Can anyone point me in the right direction or give me some insight? would be much appreciated! Thanks!

I would do it myself. Get the parts. Oil filter gasket is probably just 1 nut and the housing would come off. I've used an old oil filter gasket before and it worked. Didn't fit perfect but was close.
