Noise Cancellation - help

Hi, All. I took posession of 2012 M37 this week. I love it! I previsouly leased a 2009 G37 (which was my 3rd G). One thing that's great is just how quite the cabin is when driving. I understand there's active noise cancellation via the speakers. Question: is there some indicator that the system is working? Is there some kind of indicator? If it stops working, is there some way of knowing?
