This was very unusual & wonder if anyone else has experienced this.
2012 G37x (3400 miles) had been in garage for 2 days. Would not start. The battery seemed to be completely dead..no interior lights, dash lights..nothing.
Put my charger on the battery and it registered 0.5v, set charger on and it gave code for dead cell. Called service dept and they sent roadside service who jump started it. He told me that it would be fine and would recharge in about 15 minutes and would not have jump started if battery had dead cell. (I believe both statements were wrong.) So left car running and drove it to dealer. They checked battery, alternator, etc and said everything was o.k.
The car was driven only about 20 miles which seems not enough that the alternator would put a full charge on battery. Any similar experiences out there? Thoughts?
