New to Forum ** BlueTooth Adio question

I just bought an 2012 M37x premium package and the iPhone 6 bluetooth audio synchs and plays, but does not display the current song and will lose the bluetooth connection after 10-15 minutes.

anyone else having this issue? any solutions?

I have the same exact issue in my 2011 QX56...lol, man I thought I was going crazy. Well I have some bad news for you on this one. I have talk to both Infiniti and Apple about three times over this and did not come to an answer that I liked.

If you have an IPhone that is running the latest iOS (9.3.1, 9.3.2, 9.3.2) Apple has confirmed that something was changing regarding Bluetooth (I don't know what that change was).

I have confirmed this by using other model IPhones not running the above mention iOS's, and all of them work as designed. All my androids work fine just as well.

I called Infiniti's Bluetooth team and was told that it worked in there testing. He recommended that I take the car to the dealer to get the audio system reset or refresh and to make sure that I have up to date firmware( I don't think Infiniti puts out firmware update). I have not done this yet, because I feel that this is probably not a problem with the car per-say, but a problem with Apple updating the Bluetooth.

The funny thing about this is that I rented a QX60 and was able to pair my iPhone with it and see the song data and play music at the same time.

Here is something that I discovered while playing around with this thing is that if you are connected to the car via Bluetooth with the music playing and you select"AirPlay" and switch the music to come out of the iPhone the music data will show up with no issue. The only problem with that is that it is not coming out of car speakers anymore.

It seems that the system cannot handle streaming music and data at the same time.

I hope that I put a little light to this situation, if you ever get the factory reset done at the dealer please post your results here.
