New remote takes an hour?

Have a 2005 QX56 and the remote is dead so I'm getting a new one but Infiniti claims it's a one hour deal to program. Seems like that might be right for programming an actual key (with the chip or whatever), but since all I need is the remote, in my head, this was nothing but pairing a new remote with the QX56. Am I mistaken?

I just asked my dealership that question today. They said the key would take about 30 mins but the fob would only take about 10 mins. They are charging $60 Cdn to program both. Hope this helps.
