New 2012 owner

Just dropped a deposit on a 2012 QX56 8-seater in Diamond Graphite and Graphite interior with Tech package which is with all the bells and whistles here in Canada. Test drove one 2.5 years ago and at that time I went with a Toyota Tundra Platinum crewmax. I know, big diff between the pickup and full size luxury SUV. This time we replaced our 09 MDX looking to haul more gear and people at the same time now that we have two young kids and a dog.

Choices were down to the LX570, Sequoia, GL350 bluetec, and QX56. Wife felt it was the best visibility and comfort driving the QX and best value for the money with the low rates and $9000 off MSRP was the selling point. Now the fun begins with some ideas for Rigid Industries LED SR lights, new front grille, VLED's, wired radar detector and laser jammer, and some Llumar 35% or 50% window tint to start.

The blendmount kit works great on my QX56. I usedthe mirrortap adapter to wire into the rear view mirror wiring harness. Very simple install....

I already have the blendmount on my MDX that I can use on the QX56 as well. What wire colors did you tap the yellow and black mirror taps to on the QX56 wiring harness? Thanks for your help.

I am gonna transfer over my blendmount and mirrortap from my MDX to the QX. Do you happen to remember which colored wires you tapped power and ground into? Thanks in advance.

Also called dealer today to add illuminated side sills, cargo tray, all-weather mats, and bumper protector for delivery on friday. Almost got the black grille too, but will take a peak at other aftermarket grilles before making a decision. Hopefully Royalty Core can make a grille for the QX as I have one on my 2010 Toyota Tundra and they are high quality grilles.

Swapped my blendmount from the MDX over to the QX for my Beltronics Sti with the mirror tap/invisicord and swapped a bunch of bulbs out to VLEDS. Waiting for my 3175 dome light for back cargo area and some tail light LED's (ran out of LED's I had kicking around from my Toyota Tundra). Ordered the Prestigious Society Nav module, Black midnight Infiniti grill, factory window vent visors, and a set of 20" KMC gloss black D2 wheels with Bridgestone Blizzak tires.
