I’ll start off with myself. I’ve worked on many many cars and although I’m not a mechanic I consider myself to know how to fix things.
My cousin called the other day and told me her car had shut off while she was driving down the parkway. I went to get her car and we put it on the trailer and brought it back to the house. First thing I noticed, it was about 4quarts low of oil. I assume that’s why the car shut itself off. I added oil and went to crank it up and it will turn over but not start. Every now and then it will hit and try to start but it just won’t. I’m sure these cars are supposed to be fueled by at least 91 octane and I’m sure my cousin hasn’t been doing that. However, the fuel pump is working and the car is getting fuel all the way to the rails. Is it not starting due to something needing to be reset due to low oil. Any and all help will be greatly appreciated.
