Email i sent in regards to my transmission that upshifts waaay to early. Let me know what you guys think, if you have experienced and will keep you guys posted. Infiniti forwarded to regional specialist, local dealer has been very accommodating but stumped.
Tsb's were completed already, i asked to have tech drive with me they concur and also will make video for them. Guys i can increase my speed by 5-8 mph hour without my tach moving, when i accelerate at normal speeds the truck slides into 4th and within 1 second it shifts to 5th....anything between 55-70 there is severe lag in accelerator pedal.
" Name deleted, first thank you for the great service you guys provided for me in April when I first used your dealership after moving down to FL from DC.
In the service that was completed on 4/9/14 was the transmission reprogrammed? I do see that it says ECM reprogram so I am assuming yes. unfortunately the same problem exists but it has been difficult to make my way down there. I scheduled a service date on your website and I took the only dates available as I will not be back from travel for work till after the 20th of June. Is there anyway I can drop of my vehicle on the 21st and leave it with you guys? The military has me traveling often. If you could accommodate this please let me know and cancel my appointment for the 4th of July.
Scott, the real reason I am writing though is to make sure I have correspondence with Infiniti on my transmission issue. it has been and recently again is a real safety issue. In my latest travel I went to pass a vehicle at 60 and the accelerator was lagging so I gave it more gas, upon doing so the transmission seemed to kick down and the RPM's jolted to above 4000-5000RPM's accelerating the truck as if I was taking off on a race track. This nearly almost made me lose control of vehicle.
There are several gears above 2nd or 3rd that lag. The best way I can describe it is when you are driving a manual transmission and you up shift too soon and you do not have good throttle response.
there are speeds where I can accelerate for 5-10 MPH and see no movement on the tach. Name deleted, this is not normal at all.
I have a newborn son and another child and now we are forced to use another car as a family vehicle due to these concerns.
All I am looking to do is have infiniti look into this and not assume or tell me it is fixed when it is not. Any tech/mechanic should have been able to drive the truck after ECM reset and know it was not fixed.
Again, love the dealership and thanks for the help.
P.S - I will take video of dashboard so you can see the tach and speedometer on acceleration."
