My 99 infiniti i30 has a 2 inch crack on the top of the radiator i add

water every month but forgot this time? when driving out of nowhere my car sounded like a shopping cart or grinding sound and i smelled burn but my temperature was normal i got off checked the radiator and it was empty i added water and drove 10 miles when it stalled, i turned it on and it started shaking like if it had no gas i got it towed home and now wondering what it is ?

sounds like you blew the motor

If you run it completely out of water, there is no water to be on the temp sensor, so it just reads the air temp around it - yeah, sounds like you f****ed up.
