Mirrors and windows

Hi all,
Got a 2013 qx56. Curious if anyone else noticed this.....when in R and the switch to select the mirror to adjust is on the R or L position, BOTH mirrors will tilt down. I think the manual stated that in Revrse when the mirror adjust button is in R or L, that particular mirror would tilt when you select reverse....
Also, auto-down, but no auto-up with any of the windows, though the window toggle seems like it will support this....s this what everyone else s experiencing?

ive a 12, and auto up and down work on the windows for me. i think what you are doing is pressing the button past the click and that cancels auto up/down. just press the button up or down and dont go past the click to see if that does the trick?

also when the mirror switch is in R, the mirrors tilt down. yes this is normal. if you put the mirror switch in the middle position, the mirrors will not tilt down.

My 2012 auto down works fine but I have no auto up. I have tried everything including lifting to the first click, lifting before the first click, fully lifting, nothing. Are you sure the 2012 has auto up? The mirror thing was driving me crazy, thanks for the heads up on that. Moved it to center and it no longer goes down.

My wife has a 2012 and the auto down/up on the windows works fine.

Found this in the manual. Works great now.


If the windows do not close
automatically
If the power window automatic function (closing
only) does not operate properly, perform the
following procedure to initialize the power window
system.
1. Push the ignition switch to the ON position.
2. Close the door.
3. Open the window completely by operating
the power window switch.
4. Pull the power window switch and hold it
to close the window, and then hold the
switch more than 3 seconds after the
window is closed completely.
5. Release the power window switch. Operate
the window by the automatic function
to confirm the initialization is complete.
6. Perform steps 2 through 5 above for other
windows.
If the power window automatic function does
not operate properly after performing the procedure
above, have

Re mirrors. Did anyone try to flip the switch to L vs R? In my old Acura TL, the individual mirror would tilt (ie L or R when in reverse). I found BOTH mirrors tilt in either L or R.

Yup, they tilt in L or R but not in the center.
