M37 hard drive and voice

Hi All. I love my 2011 M37, but recently was in a rental 2013 Chevy Malibu which had a few superior features in the audio system and voice. For example, the Malibu recognized all my CD songs, and even showed artist photo on the display. My M37 often does not show the CD name/artist. Also, after a quick blue tooth programming in the Malibu, I said "call Home" and it instantly dialed home (versus going thru 4 voice steps or so in the M37). Now I am not comparing anything else, quality, etc, just wondering why these features are not in the M37 system, and if there is any software update or other to improve these (besides the tedious manual gracenote fix for unnamed songs).
