Loading music and dvd's to hard drive

Folks on the 11,12 and 13 qx56..is there a way to load music and movies into the hard drive? Or is the way to play movies always with a attached usb stick or attached ipod or Bluetooth streaming?

you can only load CD music onto the HDD. nothing else. This is also true of the 2008 and up armada. same system in both (HDD)

As a follow up, is it possible to put mp3's on a DVD data and transfer them to the music box that way? It would be a major pain to drag out all of the cd's (if I could find them) and have the music box rip them to the hdd. Otherwise i would just use the usb with a 32gb SD card to listen to music. Only pain with that is the connection is lost to the usb drive sometimes and then it spends a minute reading the usb drive and then starts the music playing over from the start. I know, life is hard sometimes...lol

not DVD data, only an MP3 CD can be used to rip songs to the internal HDD.

its much practical to copy your discs to a thumb drive.
