Popping the Hood of the Infiniti M35h
It's 2012, and we shouldn't still be viewing every hybrid vehicle as a slow, weak, pod shaped bland-mobiles. If anyone still perceives hybrid vehicles this way, take a look at the Infiniti M35h.
The M35h is powerful and efficient luxury sedan that sports a 3.5L VQ V-6 engine with 360 hp. The engine is fitted with sequential multi-port fuel injection that fires into each cylinder individually, which increases efficiency.
The 7-speed transmission permits a great 0-60 time, for this type of vehicle, of 5.1 seconds, quicker even than the Porsche Panamera, which costs $96,000.
The M35h even earned a place in the Guinness Book of World Records as the fastest hybrid vehicle ever.
Here are some of the specs:
302 hp at 6,800 rpm, with an extra 67 hp added through a 50kW electric motor.
258 foot-pounds of torque at 5,000 rpm.
Quarter mile: 13.41 seconds.
27/32 mpg, very impressive for a 4,100 lb. car.
While this car has some great aspects, its not a vehicle for the masses, starting out at $53,700. However, for those with the money, who are looking for luxury, power, and gas mileage, this is quite an option.
here's a link if you'd rather read that.
