First time Infiniti owner, first time poster here. Need some help please. I just bought a used 2008 Infiniti M35x and had some questions.
Firstly, it appears there's iPod connectivity, but it was a 30-pin connector. I tried buying an Apple branded 30-pin/Lightning adaptor thinking it would be capable of both charging and music playback for my iPhone, but that does not appear to be so. The iPhone connects to the car but no charging. I figured it was the car's cable that was incapable of charging. Is there anything I can do to get charging capability and playback at the same time?
Secondly, the car appears to have built in navigation, and the map with my car's location pops up with I'm driving, but when I tried to set a destination, it appears all those tabs are not 'clickable'. They are greyed out as opposed to white (which are clickable). How can I activate the navigation. On that note, how do I obtain the latest maps/navigation software (assuming 2016?) from Infiniti?
Lastly, Bluetooth. Bluetooth settings are also greyed out and I can't click anything to begin pairing my iPhone. Is there a way to activate the Bluetooth feature? Are there any software updates necessary from Infiniti?
