..Ssomehow I lost the thread, so hopefully, this won't double-post. I have done a lot of my own repair work, but mostly on Jeeps. Will be getting an I30/98'/190k/clean, in exchange for some Jeep work done.
The problem. Due to clutch slippage, the owner just had a clutch kit installed...no recourse on the work...I'm told. Anyway, since the install, the car will not shift in and out of reverse unless the motor is off. This condition is new since the install.
Having never looked at/worked on Infiniti's, my thoughts lead to 2 possibilities.. the clutch linkage/cable/hyd. assist is out of adjustment....or the clutch kit was a cheapo..with the clutch plate being bad.
Would appreciate any tech info prior to me takling delievey of this car.
