Okay am I the only one here who so far thinks this thing sucks. Yeah it's cool that I'm able to plug it in with the ipod cable and it's cool that it shows up on your screen but there are dislikes. I don't like the fact that when you connect your ipod to the car, the car automatically locks the music screen on your ipod. I also don't like it that when a song finishes and your not quick enough to hit repeat it goes back to the main menu. It's inconvinient having to go back through the alphabet to find that same artist and replay that song. Sure I could have it on repeat but that's not what I'm looking for. Do you guys know a way around this? Thanks for your help!

I don't use the USB plug, but I use bluetooth (A2DP) to play through my QX56. That way my ipod screen isn't locked. I don't get as much control on the car, but I can use Siri to change songs (note, I am doing this with my iPhone, haven't tried an iPod touch).

the ipod connection is an afterthought by nissan, reason being they have their own system they want you to use (HDD, SD card, recording to HDD via CD).

that said, i do that cnr does, stream A2DP from the mobile phone. i use the usb port to play videos.

im sure you have a million songs on your ifruit device, and transferring them to a phone or SD card may be cumbersome, but that may be an option to consider...
