Intermittent no start/loose gas cap message

Hi all,

Once in a while I go out to the car and press the brake and push the start button but it doesn't start. Try anywhere from 1 to 15 times with no luck. I give it about 10 minutes and try again and it starts. I dont know if its related but I do have a loose gas cap message on the dash but checked the cap many times and doesn't appear to be loose to me.

Please advise if you experienced this before.

Does the electronics come on when you just press the start, no brake?

Yes they do. Everything comes as normal, I step on Brake and push button and no start. So when I try again the car powers down. I try pushing button only but nothing changes...Any ideas.

Hi so did you ever find the issue. I’m having the same problem
