well I've never worked on an infiniti but the alternator should be under the hood on the front of the engine with a fan belt connected to it, and the best way to remove it would be with wrenches
If you haven't found it, it's below the powersteering pump. You will have to take off the bottom cover pan to get to it. It's not a very big deal to replace it, just being down on the ground, kills me.
