2000 I30 does not seem to fire on a cold start. Starter engages and engine turns over but does not want to start. Pumping the pedal while cranking gets the engine running, and all is good after that. Is there an ignition timing adjustment that could be out of whack that only is in effect during the starting process? Or is this system pressurized and is it losing presure when the engine is turned off? Again, no misfires or sluggishness on acceleration once it starts.

Just replaced a blown engine with a used one with 69k and trying to get it running (starting) the way it should.

Is this from experience with a similar problem or speculation? I don't want to go to the expense and labor time replacing parts if they are not the problem.

to be honest i had the same issue with my 96 maxima and i have a 02 i35

they both had similar issues so i wouldnt touch it.......because your going to fix issues and it doesnt get fixed
