Hello there

I’m glad to be part of this community ;)

I have bought QX2011 recently and the front sensor is not working except when i press the camera button.

Also do anyone know how to protect or use a thing for the leather because i noticed it’s too sensitive.

Thanks

You got it right about the front camera

The leather shouldn't need anything but a barely moist micro fiber except for a deep cleaning

I have the same problem with the front sensor. There should be a setting that allows the sensor to be activated automatically without pressing the camera button.

The semi-analne leather is more sensitive, but your dealership should have a recommended product for leather care.

Did you buy your QX in Doha or in the US?

If the camera isn't on, how are you going to know which sensor is activating? For example, is it the front left or front right side that's getting close to something?

I think they have it correct. No camera, no sensors.

The point is that the camera should come on automatically when you get that close to something.

In this case, Infiniti does not have it right.

Oh, I see your point. I thought the original poster believed his sensors were broken, when in fact they are working as intended.

You are correct about the camera coming on when getting too close to something. That would be good, although I'm guessing Infiniti may have believed that the sensor system being on all the time might end up being a wear and tear issue, and prone to breakdown if it was on all the time.

Actually, if they only came on and activated the camera below 5 or 10 mph, that might work.

Another sensor item I find a little annoying is that the front sensors come on and start screaming when I go into reverse leaving my garage. I fit into my garage with a foot to spare front and back.

When I go into reverse the front sensor detect my "closeness" at the front, and start howling. The vehicle knows I'm in reverse, so what possible use are forward looking sensors in this situation?

Some more user options for the system would be good. It's all software, so maybe Infiniti could add features in a later update of the system. Who knows.

Yes, the cameras are only activated at 0 - 6 mph, but it would be nice if they did a software update to allow the front camera to come on automatically.

I also had a problem with the front sensors beeping in my garage when reversing out.

I finally gave up and disabled the beeps. Got tired of hearing that every day.
