I saw a lot of questions about how to remove the tow cover on the QX56. I have a 2011 QX56 and here is how I removed the cover.
1. Use a thin, long flat head screw driver. You will need the length for leverage.
2. Go under the vehicle and you will see 2 flat tabs snapped into the cover and a small tab from the bumper.
3. Use the flat head screw driver and pry in between the cover and bumper. Pry from one end then switch to the other side of the same screw. You will need to be patient because it may have never been removed.
4. Do the same for the other side, slowly prying between the cover and the bumper until the tabs are loose.
5. Once the tabs have dropped loose, kneel in from of the tow cover, using both hands at each corner of the cover, and pull down and away. The cover will snap away from the bumper.
