Hi all for infiniti m37/q70 3.7 engine petrol with auto gearbox,

how often valve clearance should be adjusted on q70/ m infiniti and how reliable the automatic gearbox is?

i read over i-net a lot of stories that transmission makes issues who makes the transmission is it jatco is it with huge issues and major failure like on altima /maxima etcs?

It is reported that the heads in our engines are Non Serviceable. There is no valve adjustment needed or possible. Any ticking sound is more likely the injectors.

As far as the transmission goes, I have found it very helpful to clear learned transmission adaptations - Google "M37 ECU Reset". I do this every year and am always immediately impressed with the results. I also avoid low speed cruising and traffic when in Sport mode (don't teach it to lame up sport mode), it seems to "save" sport more for a while and keeps it... sporty!

Less hesitation off the starts, less clunky 3rd to 4th shifts, generally seems to keep the RPM's up higher.
