How do I handle knocks and pings from my I30 Infinity car engine?

Thanks to all for the helpful responses. I have only noticed it on inclines. Also - car only has 35k miles. Seems premature to be having these types of problems?

Do those sounds mean there is any damage being caused to the engine? I would rather not pay the extra money for premium just to have a quieter engine.

If you are willing to pay a minimum diagnostic charge the dealer can adjust your base fuel injection timing about two degrees negative. That will take care of a good portion of the knock which is pretty common on those year I35s.
