I have a 2003 Infiniti G35 sedan that is coming due for an oil change per the mileage, not the date. Today in traffic, while sitting on a downhill slope, my oil light would blink intermittently.
It only seemed to occur after I would advance forward slowly and then stop. When I parked on an incline with the left side of the car higher than the right, the light blinked intermittently again, but when I parked facing downhill, it stayed off.
Per the owners manual when this occurs, I am to pull over and call a dealership for immediate service. However, I plan on taking it across the street to have the oil change and with the hopes that this clears up the issue. It has 160k miles on it and occasionally I see a small drop of oil on my garage floor. However, I wanted to check and see if anyone else had encountered this problem and if an oil changed fixed it, or if the problem continued until they took it to a dealer/for service. Thanks!
