I have a 1994 G20 and recently it has been having issues.

At first the car ran great, than it started having rpm issues. When shifting into neutral and letting it sit there the car would randomly loose rpms and shut off. This would happen on an irregular basis.

Than randomly when the car would turn on it would start to jump the rpms up and down by revving the engine without any gas applied. This also happened irregularly.

Finally yesterday I was driving the car around town. Everything seemed great, no random shutting off in neutral and no weird revving when the engine was started. I drove it to one location, was there for about an hour and a half. I then turned on the car, again with no problem and drove it for 10 miles. I was probably gone for about an hour. When I went to start the car it wouldn't turn over.

I tried jumping the car and that did not work. So, I know it wasn't the battery. Every electrical system seems to be working fine: the lights turn on, the horn works, and the ac is blowing cold air.

The only thing that worked was popping the clutch. The car seemed to run fine again. There was no weird rpm changes. I could feel a slight lag in the pick up from time to time. (something i had felt before on rare occasions) Than when I got home I turned off the car and tried to turn it on once more. It didn't start. I tried this morning thinking that things just needed to settle, and again with no avail it wouldn't turn on.

Does anyone know what this might be?

Car won't start

When you say the car will not start, are you saying that it will not turn over?
(meaning it does not make a sound) If this is the case, and your battery is good, I think the following-
If I ignore the fact that your car was revving. The other symptoms sound like a bad starter. You could pop the clutch and start the car. This bypasses the starter. Once running it is OK but you park it and it then will not start. As a starter begins to fail it sometimes becomes intermittant. I recently rescued my daughter car by smacking the starter with a chunk of wood. It then started. I drove it 2 hours home and parked in front of the garage. I shut it off and no amount of smacking would make it start (or turn over) I changed the starter (quite a challenge) and it is now running.
Just my 2 cents
