Hello,

I'm the new owner of an immaculate 2006 AWD QX56 with a little over 75,000 miles. Couldn't be happier until today, when something really scary happened - out of nowhere, while I was driving at around 30 mph and slowed down for an intersection, the ABS activated and my stopping power was greatly reduced. This continued to happen until I pulled over and killed the ignition. When I restarted the car, the problem was gone. I found this thread on-line:

http://www.faqs.org/car/nissan-armada-2006/service-brakes/

and I assume this must be that problem. Does upgrading the firmware on the ABS controller actually fix the problem? if not, I'd rather disable the ABS system entirely than have this happen again. If I was towing a trailer at the time - I don't want to think of what could have happened. Anyone out here know?

Thanks!
