Hello!

First time posting and hoping this is the first of many many future posts. Currently looking into trading my current lease;2007 Accord; for a nicer vehicle, but really having a hard time deciding on what vehicle to get. Knowing that this is an Infiniti board I expect to have probably many biased recommendations but really hope for some legit things to help make the decision.

Planning to get lightly used 2010/2011, as I would like to stay around the $45t mark. This is my short list e350, m37, gs350, a6 and genesis.

They all basically meet my needs and amenities I look for but really worry about reliability for all.

Any input would go much apreciated as I have less than 3 months to make the purchase. Btw how much people really paying for this cars? Full msrp?

Thanks

Ed

decide if you want a sport feel and ride or quiet and soft
M blows those all away as a performance car and on reliability, then the GS but its not as engaging to drive. Audi is cool if you dump a car before warranty expires but its getting old in the interior design. if its an E it has to be the new body style and if you go sit in it this got hard seats, just not comfortable, but it is quiet

I recently had the same issue before deciding on buying my M35. My search began only with the 5-series BMW and E-Class MB....Audi was ruled out quickly based on it's poor resale value. I eventually ruled out BMW & MB based on reliability, I wasn't so much concerned about cost necessarily since I'd get a warranty but more than anything was the concern with buying a car and not being able to drive it due to it being in the shop all the time, what's the point at that point.

I ended my search with the M & Lexus GS and the M won out based on reliability and it being a bit of an "under the radar" type car. The Lexus seemed too overpriced because it's a trendy car and trendy cars to me are kind of like stars of reality t.v. - great when they're the hot thing but can lose their appeal quickly when their 15 minutes of fame is up and the new hot thing is out. The Infiniti M has a lasting image of luxury without being over the top and seems to have a better value dollar for dollar. Plus the M isn't something you see around every corner like a Lexus, BMW or MB, this also played a role - I hate seeing myself "coming around every corner" if you know what I mean.

In sum - go with the M if it fits your needs, I think you'll be very happy with it. The funny thing was that Infiniti wasn't even a consideration of mine at first and it turned out to be the best choice ever!
