Engine Oil Leak on my 1998 infiniti i30

hey sup guys, my car is leaking oil, looks like its coming somewhere from the oil pan.The thing is i took it to the mechanic and he told be there gonna have to drop the engine to fix it and are charging me 1g. Anyone have had a similar leak or can give me some hints of what could be the problem i would appreciate it alot!!
