The battery on our 2012 M is shot. Maybe age, car sitting too long, who knows. But, I like the AGM battery technology and would like to convert to that. However, the charging system is currently outputting at the highest normal level about 14.7 to 14.9 volts. AGM batteries don't like to be charged at this level ongoing.
I have learned that the ECM tells the IPDM what output voltage to give the battery.
Great, how can I adjust this output voltage?
What version of Consult do you use with a 2012 M37?
The service manual is pretty good explaining the systems but, not so good at explaining how I can adjust settings.
