Anyone have experience adding cold air intake? One of the brands below? Any 'real' benefits I could expect? Recently talked with a vette guy that has 600HP in his C5 and he assured me I'd feel the diff...however have also heard nothing really happens.

Any negative? I have 2005 with 140K on it...however it runs like it's half as young:-) Also have 24's on it if that matters....

heavy 24s you will not see any gains with JUST a CAI. there is at least one thread on CAIs here on the forum, so a search is suggested.

don't waste your bread on JUST a CAI thinking that you will see some HP gains and some other goodies. all you will get is a mean, lovely, throaty GRROOOWWLWLLLLLL at WOT (it does sound awesome) and your car can inhale better, but thats about the extent of any "Gains"

plus (I didnt look at the link) if the CAI is metal, aluminum, or similar, that is BAD for sa CAI because the aluminum, when hot under the hood, will WARM up the air, therefore not making it "cold", which defeats the purpose.

if you want a difference, get some lighter wheels, a full exhaust system, a tuner, do the air box mod (search the internet---its free and offers just about the same as a CAI) and 2 degree timing advance.
