Hello all...
I have a 2011 QX56. Last night, the battery went dead for whatever reason while I was with my family at a movie. I guess the car was left "ON" without my knowing. Anyway, I attempted to use the friendly "security" truck on the premises to jump start the vehicle. Well, during the jump, the cables got crossed, and, well, things got hot. I usually don't make such mistakes, but I was tired, it was late, yadda, yadda, yadda.
Realizing our mistake, we swapped the cables and jumped the car and I headed home thinking all was fine. However I soon realized I had no audio. Woke up this morning, checked out the car and found both bose amp fuses were blown. Tried to swap the fuses and they popped immediately. The amps appear to be shorting out. Did the cable-cross fry the amps? Any other possibilities y'all can think of? Could the capacitors in the amps hold the (wrong) charge long enough to blow fuses?
Thanks in advance for any help.
Andy
