Battery charged, terminal changed, and now no crank

Help! New alternator after battery drainage issue. Drove to gas station and it would not crank over, battery was low and negative terminal was scorched and bad. Replaced terminal and put jumper cables on battery and still only half cranked the starter. I then took the battery out and charged it at home until it tested good on my tester. Put it back in the vehicle and I get power but it does not crank, tested low with my tester and still did not crank with a jump. Battery test good at oreillys on their tester also.
