With the wiper stalk in the off position, one click down is the Auto setting. There is a dial on the wiper stalk to adjust the speed. I leave mine on the first/slowest setting and adjust if needed (usually don't need to though).
If you want to disable the Auto/Rain sensing setting, it may vary depending on your year but should be Settings - Vehicle (or Comfort) - and disable the rain sensing option
