Auto Folding Mirrors?

Hi all, new to the site, 1st time infiniti owner. I just bought a 2011 QX56 with Theater, Tech, and Deluxe Touring Package.

Playing around with all the techno goodies... But stuck on one thing:

Does this truck have the ability to set the mirrors to fold in automatically when I lock the doors?

no, there is no way in the stock configuration to have mirrors fold when doors lock.

Thanks, that what I thought after going through the manual last night but I wanted to confirm. Gotta get used to hitting that little switch now, no biggie.

Coming from a Mercedes GL450 I am thus far VERY impressed with the roominess and amenities of the QX... Gonna drive it around a bit to see how she does on the freeways... I'll post some thoughts as I get to know the truck.

Any QX newbie tips and "secrets" would be appreciated...

you can set windows to go up and down automatically or to go down automatically and up manually by holding the switch up for a few seconds after it is already up

The mirrors will tilt down in reverse if you have the mirror slide switch either left or right but will not move when it is in the center

dont put important stuff under the rear mat in the tray. You'll forget them guaranteed.

Couple thoughts so far...

Just drove the QX on the freeway.... This thing is a VAULT! Quiet, smooth as silk, and powerful. Might just be the new toy enthusiasm, but this baby feels a lot quieter going full speed than my GL450.

LOVE the view those elephant sized mirrors give me!

Really getting to appreciate the blind spot monitor... This feature is going to be very useful for me. I briefly played with the smart cruise control and it is terrific.. Spooky, almost!

Starting the Bluetooth streaming audio from my ipad was a cinch, as was setting up my cell.

Lots more to try out....

During the summer, I used this function a lot with my '04. Holding down the "unlock", on your keyfob, for a few seconds will roll all the windows down while walking towards car. Helps to cool off before getting in.

Now,with my '12, I have cooled seats and hardly use my key fob, as it's tucked away in my purse. Love not having to look for my keys all the time!
