Anyone ran anything other than 275/50/22?

@maverick, how much did those set you back?

Here you go.

Those tires look like they would have some bad @$$ traction. Are they all season? I did not like the EOM tires (22') at all this winter. I know it is probably better to have two tire sets but I already do so on another of my vehicles and changing them with the seasons is not necessarily fun. My prior SUVs have actually done well on their all seasons, so I was kind of disappointed to be sliding fairly easily on the Bridgestones

The Bridgestones are "highway terrain", and the Nitto Terra Grappler's
are "All-terrain". They are two completely different tires. The Terra Grapplers are far superior for "winter" driving, that is, if your winters include snow and mud.
;-)

Price...I'm guessing $1700 - $1900, out the door. Maverick?

Maverick, can you comment on ride quality difference, and overall thought of aesthetic difference?

And thanks for the photos.

I had the Terra Grapplers on my Dodge Ram, looked great on that truck and performed was amazing, cost was like $200 a tire. But from looking at the pic's - too much 'tire' for the QX. I don't see slinging the QX through an open field full of mud.. I don't plan on taking my $75K SUV off-road..

The Terra Grapplers on the QX will be good for extra traction at campgrounds when I'm towing my 26 ft. Travel Trailer. I live in the S.F. Bay Area and travel to Tahoe and Yosemite a lot during the winter. With 4 wheel drive and all terrain tires I can get past most check points now without even putting on chains. Each tire was about $350. Ride quality so far has been good. The only difference is they seem to make a bit more noise.

Maverick, sorry to pull this one from the dead, but when you a free moment would you mind taking a few more photos from different angles?

Thanks,
Gary

Michelin 285/45/22

Just put a set of Michelin Defender XLT M/S on my 2013 Qx56, the defender is the replacement for the M/S2, I have owned 6 sets of M/S2 on multiple vehicles and have never got less than 70,000 miles out of them.

We just go hammered with Ice and snow here and they have performed great, ride is improved, shift points seem unchanged.

I will update as I put miles on them.

305/40/22 they look awesome.
