Any stupid car tricks/Easter eggs to unlock hidden capabilities for the QX56?

My dealer told me that she has a client who knows of some tricks to unlock soe secret capabilities in the QX56. Mine's a 2012. For instance, she mentioned there's apparently a way to enable viewing of the cameras when the car is in motion. Not particularly useful but could be fun to watch the rear camera when in motion.

Anyone know of such tricks? Googled it to death, came up dry.

excellent forum. im over there daily. good thread also.

those "tricks" you speak about are not tricks.. they are self tests the techincians use to diagnose the many features on the car.

the camera trick i can tell you how to do it but you can seriously mess up the settings and calibrations of the cameras if you mess with them.

there is also other self tests that test the combination meter, the CAN BUS, gps, etc...

This does have a practical application, I would like to be able to view the front camera and "bird view" when moving into a parking spot. You have to be at a certain VERY slow speed to allow it. I want to activate it well before then. Interestingly, the installation of the Prestigious Society lockpick has not affeced this, I would have thought that the speed sensor defeat would also allow the camera while in motion. Not so.

I certainly do NOT want to screw up settings, GPS etc., not worth risking that unless 100% avoidable by doing this correctly.

its possible you can mess up the calibration because the settings to adjust these will be on the screen. the entire time the system is on and the car is in motion, you can adjust these. as far as i can tell, if you get into this diag mode, you have access to the parameters at the same time as this setting is designed for the techs to calibrate the cameras if you have to install one due to fault, accident, etc...
