Hi there, new to Infiniti and the forum. Just bought a 2012 qx56 and had a couple questions I have not been able to find answers to.

1. In regards to the front park sensors, should these not automatically activate and have warning beep turn on and flip the navigation screen to the camera when I'm parking and getting close to something in the front? Nothing happens unless I press the camera button on dash, then warning beep turns on.

2. Is the turn signal lever not supposed to have a pass function - tap lever and signal flashes 3 times for passing?

The parking sensors on our 15 now activate the camera in the nav screen. That was an update that the 12 we previously owned didn't have.
Same goes for the pass function.

One thing they did add in the 15 I don't like is the Auto Hi/Lo headlights. System is programmed to only go to Hi beams at speeds greater than 25mph. I probably use the hi beams more entering my neighborhood than anywhere and I'm never anywhere close to 25 with dogs, kids and critters likely to be at or on the road at any time.
It can be overrode by going to on but then the headlights don't work in auto fashion. Dumb move in my opinion.
Other complaint is the driving lights are disabled in the auto hi/lo mode. Only way you can get those to work is by keeping lights in lo/dim position.
The driving lights put out a ton of very usable light in front and to the sides. Noticeable difference. Why they felt compelled to do this I will never know.

Otherwise a great ride. If I ever find a suv that answers every single need I have I probably won't be able to afford it anyways. Lol.
