Sorry. I know there are a few of these out there and I think I've read most of them. My 2012 QX is due for it's 15,000 mile service. My dealer does these things for $460 + tax:
- oil and oil filter change
- rotate and balance tires
- cabin micro-filter ($95)
- engine air filter
- wipers ($40-something)
- change brake fluid
- perform other visual inspections
I'm not much of a mechanic but I can change the engine air filter, wipers and am pretty sure I can change the cabin micro-filter based on what I've read here and on infinitihelp.com. That would bring the service down a couple hundred dollars but then I'd need to buy my own parts and do the installations.
I'm leery of putting anything in that's non-oem due to any warranty issue that might arise later, so I'm guessing that would bring my savings down to $100 or so + my own time. Am I missing anything glaring here? Is the oem part thing really a big deal?
