I know very little about Nissan/Infiniti's, unless it is a Nissan Forktruck, used to be a tech, but a friend of mine has a 98 I30, a few times she has walked out to her car at work, while it is locked up and windows and sunroof closed, to see that the windows have rolled down just a little bit, enough to put your hand in it. She said it's only happened a couple of times, but wants to know if this is something that she should get looked at since the car is warranted from where she bought it.

This is exactly wat has happened with my 98 I30. I leave my car in the parkin lott then wen i come back both passenger and drivers windows are a little down. but it only happened a couple of times. i tryed pushing the window lock button and so far nothing has happened so u can give that a try. If u have another solution please let me know.

I have a 96 I30 currently, had a 96 Maxima previously. I would guess this goes for all 95-99 I30s/Maximas as they are all the same basically. Anyway, to answer your question, with my 96, if you hold the unlock button on the key fob, it will roll the windows down. They only go down as far as how long you hold the button. Which is hard to determine if you cant see the car when you are doing it. That is why it is happening tho, cuz at some point you have held the unlock button on your keyless remote. And no, holding lock will unfortunately not roll them back up. :( Kind of a pain, only useful in the summer to air your car out quick on your way out to it.
