Hey folks!

My '96 I30 began making "clunking" noises in the front when turning, and started to squeak at low speeds (including reverse). I just replaced driveshafts, and the clunking is gone, and so is the squeaking when going forwards.

So here is the current condition:
The squeaking persists when in reverse only, and you can hear it only when the clutch is engaged (accelerator pressed or not). The squeaking is arhythmic, and is generally from the front. However, I think it is coming from the left side.

The squeak is not quite like a "chirp." It's a bit more aggressive than that. And not like using the breaks for the first time after the car's been in the rain for a few hours. It is also not in sync with the rotation of the wheels.

If anyone has any ideas of a solution or diagnosis, please let me know! I'd greatly appreciate it. My plan of action depends on the potential cost of the repair.
