junk yard may not have it and i had a 96 infinity and sold it and the lights on the stereo was dead and it is a very decent system and hard to find but you maybe able to find it at a junk yard but it maybe difficult ,a maxima se has the same system so that is easier to find as most 96 to 99 maxima parts are the same as the 96 i30 ,it was a nice system though and worth replacing

If you are going to buy one from a j/y make sure its guaranteed to work. I have seen people get burned buying used parts. The display failure is pretty common and a j/y one might be the same way. Having an aftermarket one properly installed may be the most cost efficient way of remedying this problem. Good Luck.
