2014 Infiniti Q50 Hybrid Sport MPG

Hello,

I am currently looking to purchase a used 2014 Infiniti Q50S Hybrid. The MPG posted online is 28 city and 34 highway, however websites like fuelly and other sites have reported much lower than 28 combined average. I thought I would come directly to the forums of actual owners to see what they have reported for the hybrid sport model.

I don't have the sport model, but i have the hybrid. Unless im on long distance highway miles, where i get 33mpg computer calculated, 30 manually calculated, i get 26mpg computer, 23mpg manual. I think fuelly is a more realistic number than is advertised. But it's a performance hybrid, infiniti service dept. states that the hybrid is "not intended for fuel ecconomy"

I owned a hybrid and I got consistently 30.3 miles to the gallon, I did about 80 miles a day commute round trip, mostly on the freeway. The ratio of the vehicle on EV vs. actual miles driving is about 30%.

I also found out if you change the engine air filter, it will slightly increase your average also.
