My wife loves her 12 QX56, purchased 4 years ago w/58k now has 92k. We've had the non start issue for awhile. At one point I removed the plug in cable from the negative side and charging was great, I have to have it smogged yearly here in NV so I don't like the idea of unplugging the sensor cable because there has to be something else it does aside fron stopping the smart charger ( alternator temp sensor?).
Anyway , sorry for running on, can someone please tell me the number (picture/location) and color of the wire I can cut in the box so I can put couplers on for smogging purpose, the disconnected sensor doesn't throw a code on the dash when disconnected but it does leave it in the system, need to reconnect 1 week prior to smog date to reset.
