2011 QX56 DVD headrest

Good day, does anyone know if this suv is prewired for the dvd headrest. I didn't have this feature in my car and I have someone that wants to sell me the oem headrests. I can only view DVDs in front

no its not pre wired. it would be a waste of money for nissan tin install harnesses in trim models that dont have certain trim options.

HOWEVER...


sometimes on the line when these cars are being made, at any time if there is a shortage of a specific harness or some other random thing, it IS possible for the line to install a higher trim harness option on a car that is not designed to get the trim options that harness is made for..

so its possible you do but is super rare.

the only way to know for sure is to remove the headrest and get inside the seat. grab the service manual for your model and read up on the section dealing with the AV setup.

however, to have the theater package, it requires software upgrades and other canbus sensors, plus the power inverter, rca baseband inputs, etc etc, so it may not be worth your time to go the factory way and may be best to go aftermarket. aftermarket gives you more options possibly with less money...
